It’s
a Double Act at the Irish Showdog Awards
Beau Conquers Ireland…
Next Stop America & The Eukanuba World Challenge

Ashling Connolly’s Bichon
Frise, sixteen months old Ashmair Double Act, won his ticket to the
Eukanuba World Challenge in the USA next Autumn when he won the finals
of the Irish Showdog Awards, sponsored by Eukanuba and represented
on the night by Mike Bloxsome. Beau’s sire is Michael Coad’s
‘Eric’ (named after Eric Morecombe of the famous comedy
duo) aka Ch Pamplona Bring Me Sunshine, UK Top Dog last year, who
has definitely got a son worth watching as Beau looks like he is on
his way to the top. From all last year’s top group points
winners, he came out the winner under Swedish all breeds judge Nina
Karlsdotter. Beau needs just one more Green Star over the age of 15
months to clinch his Irish crown and already has a CC & BIS under
his belt from the Northern and Midland Bichon Club Show, and a Reserve
ticket from Belfast last September.

Ross Delmar’s multi
group & BIS winning Smooth Fox Terrier, Ch Shillelagh Smooth Operator,
was runner-up. Balloo also won the Gerry Sweeney Memorial Trophy for
Top Terrier at the finals, for the second year running.
